Leafless in Portland
Check out what our customer, Rena Davis, had to say about the quality of our service in this article. She originally had LeafGuard on her gutters before we repaired the damage to her home and installed MasterShield. Leafless in Portland offers more effective and, oftentimes, more affordable solutions for your gutter problems than other alternatives.

Thanks to the rapid rise of social media, we now live in the age of the instant testimonial. Some people take to Yelp to complain about or praise their most recent dining experience. Some take to Facebook to do the same.
But some people, like Rena Davis, go straight to the source in order to speak their mind. A semi-retired clinical nutritionist who lives in St. Helens, Davis hired a local company to install gutters with protective covers on her home in 2005 from a well-known contractor in the category. Within a few short years, she soon noticed problems—primarily leaks—with those gutters.
In 2015 a storm felled a 150-foot locust tree on top of her home, which further damaged those troublesome gutters. The company that installed them told Davis that they wouldn’t replace the damaged gutters; the problem, they said, was the home’s rotted fascia boards to which the gutters were attached.
“I was so mad I could spit nails,” says Davis, adding that she suspects that the original gutters, which cost her $8,700, had been improperly installed, which ultimately lead to the fascia board rotting.
In search of replacement gutters, Davis did what any conscientious consumer would do when considering a new purchase: She went online and did some research. Quickly, she discovered Leafless in Portland, a local installer of high-quality gutters and gutter protection systems that had favorable online reviews.
But even more than those reviews, what Davis liked was the mission statement of the owner, Jim Singleterry. Having worked in the gutter business for years, Singleterry had decided to start his own business when the company he worked for previously and the manufacturer who supplied it refused to back up their work. Singleterry partnered with the manufacturer MasterShield and set up his own shop in Tigard nearly a decade ago
Davis reached out, and within a day, Leafless in Portland sent a team of installers to her home to provide an estimate that included both new gutters and replacement of the rotted fascia boards for about $5,000—a fraction of what the same job had cost her a decade earlier.
From the first moment, Davis was impressed. Leafless did install those MasterShield gutters and she’s been virtually trouble-free ever since. In fact, the only time there was a leak, Leafless sent out someone to repair the gutter within 24 hours.
“I’ve never seen any company call me on a regular basis to check in on the job they had done,” she says. “They just went the extra mile, and to me, that’s a big deal. It’s harder and harder to find a company these days that has great customer service.”
And ever since, Davis’ gutters have, indeed, been leafless and pine needle-free, thanks in part to MasterShield’s innovative microfilter coverings, which prevent leaves and needles from entering the gutter’s water channel while rain washes them away. This microfilter screen, Davis says, doesn’t just keep out the leaves and needles, either. As she wrote in an online testimonial for Leafless in Portland, it keeps out insects, too, like wasps and bees, which are prone to build nests and hives in gutters.
Davis says she that she happily recommends Leafless in Portland to her neighbors when they’re shopping for gutters, and she plans on using them again in the future, when she’s ready to replace the gutters on her garage and greenhouse.
