The acorn doesn’t fall very far from the tree: what didn’t work in 1908 doesn’t work today:

GutterMaxx promotes itself as the pioneer in no-clog gutters. We thought that title belonged to Mr. George Cassens who also invented a two-piece reverse-curved gutter system in 1908.

What Mr. Cassens did WAS pioneering and innovative… in 1908. His design probably was as effective as today’s imitations and likely reduced gutter clogs and debris from entering into the gutter just like GutterMaxx does.

We doubt, however, that Mr. Cassens claimed that his design absolutely ensured that debris couldn’t enter and possibly clog a gutter.

We don’t think GutterMaxx makes that claim either. LeafFilter™ does.
