Most of our competitors use a ‘reverse
curve’ system.
These systems allow stuff to get into their gutters.
In fact, they will try to sell you extra big downspouts
to carry away the stuff that will — absolutely
— get into your gutters. At the same time they’ll
tell you almost nothing will get into your gutters.
That doesn’t make a lot of sense, does it? If
almost nothing gets into their system, why do they need
to install extra big downspouts?
Filters, screens, meshes, reverse curves, perforations,
louvers, fine screens, slits, slots & combinations
of the above have never done what LeafFilter™
can do: Keep ALL the debris out ALL of the time!
Side by side comparisons to LeafFilter™ reveal
that Gutter Helmet, GutterMaxx/Gutter Guard, LeafGuard,
Gutter Topper, Flo-Free, Leaf Proof, Permaflow/Waterfall,
Gutter Protec, Leaf Free, Gutter Pro, Cinch, Hallet
Gutter Cover, Sheerflow, and all their look alikes cannot
keep gutter-clogging medium-sized and small debris out
of your gutter. LeafFilter™ can! They let stuff
in, we keep stuff out!
K.T.S.O. rating
(keeps the stuff out)
K.T.S.O. Rating for gutter protection is a measure
of a product’s ability to prevent debris from
entering into a gutter. Pollen particles are assigned
a value of 100, grains of sand (120 microns in size)
are assigned a value of 80, fir needs a value of 60…
The green bar (the “efficiency bar”) indicates
a product’s ability to block various sizes of
organic debris. 100% efficiency, on a K.T.S.O. chart,
would mean a gutter protector could keep pollen sized
particles out of a gutter while still remaining 100%
water permeable. LeafFilter's™ incredible rating
of 97 assures us that LeafFilter™ will NEVER
allow a gutter to clog.
What about the debris-blocking ability of our
competitors? How does the K.T.S.O. chart translate into
everyday performance for them?
Ratings below 40 indicate that a product
may readily allow materials and organisms as large as
white pine needles, oak tassels, medium and small leaves
as well as mosquitoes, wasps, and flies into your gutter.
There is an undeniable risk that these products may
allow gutter clogs (and serve as insect nests).
Products rated between 30 and 40 may
reduce the number of occasions a gutter needs to be
unclogged, but the risk of clogs is ever present…
especially if there are more than a few trees in the
vicinity.
Ratings below 30 indicate that a gutter
cover may readily allow snakes, lizards, mice, and birds
into your gutter. It IS possible that some of these
listed critters may try to take up residence in a gutter
that has a “roof” (like a reverse curve
hood) over it.
We at LeafFilter™ love nature, but do manage
to keep it's inhabitants out of your gutters. In a final
comparative analysis to other gutter guards: they let
stuff in, we keep stuff out.
NOTHING matches LeafFilter's™ ability
to keep your gutters clog-free! |
